A GRADIENT AND SEQUENTIAL PUMP
The Bio Compression sequential circulation pump is a pneumatic gradient and sequential compression pump to mimic the lymphatic system. The lymphedema pump is widely used to treat swelling of the extremities. Gradient pressure is factory calibrated and has proven to work by reducing the amount of excess lymphatic fluid in a limb in a comfortable and efficient manner. The lymphedema pump works like the body when it uses its own "muscle pump". The body uses various muscle groups to move lymphatic fluid through the channels. The lymphedema pump does just that for the primary or adjunctive treatment of primary or secondary lymphedema. This model acts as the "muscle pump" by providing compression with one of its compatible 4 or 8 chamber segment lymphedema sleeves which are sold separately. The highest pressure is found in chamber 1 graduated towards the lowest in chamber 4 or 8.
Treatment at home or in the clinic
The Circulator circulation pump is a sequential pneumatic compression device with 4-chamber or 8-chamber gradient, intended for the primary or adjunctive treatment of primary or secondary lymphedema. The device is also used for the treatment of chronic venous stasis ulcers and associated venous insufficiency, as well as for the general treatment of swelling of the extremities. The Circulator is intended for domestic or hospital use.
